Looking at art is looking at ourselves, our society, our world. As creators being part of this world. we watch, we see, we feel, we critisize, we experience and absorb. Grieve, refugees, oppression, borders, exclusion, nationalism, power, war and fear are elements which we have built our newest creation Baby Boy on.

This will be the 7th collaboration with the composer Tom Parkinson who is always part of the process from day 1. Tom incorporates all the ideas and elements into music, and creates and inspires Ivgi&Greben with new ideas. Tom is famous for creating very intense and powerful music, and the three of them consider their collaboration as highly essential for the quality of the work.

A strictly regulated caste-based society is featured, where everything is ruled by order and discipline. At the head of this system there are Potiphar and his wife, who decide about life and death and assign people to different castes. The social structure is clear and transparent, there is a division between gender roles. Transcendency plays no part, everything is regulated by science and materialistic views.

At the beginning of the performance the distribution into castes takes place within the framework of a state celebration: Potiphar and his wife assign the candidates to socially useful and useless castes depending on their abilities.
