Miért izgatja évszázadok óta Don Juan figurája a művészek és a közönség fantáziáját?
A Budapesti Fesztiválzenekarral közös minifesztiválunkon opera- és táncelőadások, irodalmi est és beszélgetés, valamint filmvetítések segítenek megfejteni a titkot.
Az új, mostantól évente visszatérő Mozart-expedíció első témája a legendás nőcsábász, így természetesen nem maradhat el a zeneszerzőzseni Don Giovannija sem: a Fischer Iván által vezényelt és rendezett opera három alkalommal lesz látható, világsztárokkal a főbb szerepekben.
A Szegedi Kortárs Balett Juronics Tamás és Enrico Morelli koreográfiáin keresztül mutatja meg a társadalmi korlátok és a szenvedély között kialakuló örök feszültség arcait, a Miért vonzó a nőcsábász? című beszélgetés neves szakértőkkel boncolgatja a Don Giovanni-jelenség pszichológiai és kultúrtörténeti hátterét, míg Az örök Don Juan című irodalmi est és kultikus filmek vetítései révén újabb nézőpontból láthatunk rá erre az összetett karakterre – és persze Mozartéra is.

Why has the figure of Don Juan fascinated artists and audiences for centuries?
At our mini-festival organized in collaboration with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, opera and dance performances, a literary evening and discussion, as well as film screenings will help uncover the secret.
The first edition of our new annual Mozart expedition focuses on the legendary seducer, so naturally, Mozart’s genius Don Giovanni—conducted and directed by Iván Fischer—will also be featured. The opera will be staged three times, with international stars in the leading roles.
The Szeged Contemporary Ballet explores the timeless tension between social constraints and passion through the choreographies of Tamás Juronics and Enrico Morelli. The panel discussion Why Is the Womanizer So Alluring? delves into the psychological and cultural-historical background of the Don Giovanni phenomenon with distinguished experts. Meanwhile, the literary evening The Eternal Don Juan and the screenings of iconic films offer further perspectives on this complex character—and, of course, on Mozart himself.
