Following the great flood of the river Tisza, the theatre was rebuilt and the new building was initiated in 1883 – the beginning of the new theatrical era in Szeged. Greeting the 135th anniversary on the 14th of October the theatre organized a gala where Szeged Contemporary Dance Company performed parts of Orpheus+Eurydice.
