Standing ovation at the Baltics and in the USA 
 

The company ended their tour-session with huge success. Director András Pataki said that the constant presence abroad is necessary for their „self-image”. The audience filled Cirque Royal’s 3500 seats three nights in Belgium. The company performed two creations by Tamás Juronics: Carmina Burana and The Rite of Spring, and Enrico Morelli’s Wedding at the spring tour in April. 
 

As a result of the success within the audience and the reactions of the critics, an agreement was reached before even traveling home that Ballets.be lead by Didier Duriex will represent the company at the francophone areas and in Finland. Due to this collaboration the company is traveling to Finland and Helsinki next October and at the end of the year they are going on a belgian tour to perform at several cities.
 

András Pataki said that they are starting the new season with a guest performance, bringing Carmina Burana to Murcia and Mallorca, Spain next August.The director believes that as a result of the numerous guest performances lately, the list of the new season’s tours abroad will only get longer. In November they were invited to New York by the Liszt Institution to perform Carmina Burana at Ailey Citigroup Theatre, a dance historical venue. This occation was Szeged Contemporary Dance Company’s first guest performance in the United States and success followed them there: the audience gave the dancers a standing ovation.
